Today we simply sat out on the balcony and played with our trains and legos. It was a spectacular evening for such a hot day. Now I'm just sitting out here listening to a light thunderstorm pass by and watching the lightening off in the distance. We can sit outside under the canopy on the balcony and stay perfectly dry. Nice.

No Park Today ...
Today we simply sat out on the balcony and played with our trains and legos. It was a spectacular evening for such a hot day. Now I'm just sitting out here listening to a light thunderstorm pass by and watching the lightening off in the distance. We can sit outside under the canopy on the balcony and stay perfectly dry. Nice.

At what age did your child begin sitting on the floor while quietly playing with his toys ALONE? I am still waiting for that day...
He was trained from an early age, thanks to EFCE, to entertain himself. I used to play with him and then take "breaks" and let him play by himself, gradually lengthening the time he was alone. Once the pretending phase kicked in, he sometimes preferred to play by himself and weave his stories.
